Speaker Dr. Jochen Tunkel had fun teaching the participants the current concepts of periodontal tissue regeneration in the theory part, in the live surgery and during the hands-on exercises. There was a good exchange between the participating dentists.
The practice-based Stoma Academy workshop took place in the practice premises of Dr. Tunkel in Bad Oeynhausen. Also the live surgery, with extensive explanations by the surgeon, was followed attentively by the participants. The agenda also included the regeneration of periodontal bone defects by growth factors and bone grafts as well as coronally / laterally displaced flaps or Multiple Pedicle Coronally Advanced Flap (MPCAF). Tunneling technique, connective tissue grafts and soft tissue graft substitutes were also discussed. As always, Stoma provided appropriate equipment such as instruments, sutures and blades, coordinated with the speaker. Partner Straumann also supplied the course participants with the necessary material.
The instrument sets recommended by Dr. Tunkel for oral surgery, periodontology, implantology, as well as soft tissue management and augmentation have been combined by Stoma and the specialist to form the Bad Oeynhausen concept. The aim of this instrument concept is to make it easier for users to equip their practice and thus also to achieve surgical success. More information can also be found at www.stoma-shop.com.
