Hard and soft tissue management were the central topics of this practice-oriented stoma workshop with speaker Dr. Robert Wuerdinger. He critically questioned the treatment methods and showed the basics as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the various augmentation techniques. The speaker also compared autologous and allogeneic bone transplants. During the practical part, the participants were able to practice on the pig jaw and on the jaw model, including the bone shell technique with stoma micro-screws. Above all, the participants praised the practical presentation and the professional and factual competence of the speaker. A good collegial exchange was also possible in the group of participants, which was deliberately kept small.

The Hotel Jagdschloss Kranichstein near Darmstadt provided the extraordinary setting for this course. Dr. Würdinger has his own dental practice specializing in oral surgery, periodontology and implantology and is an international lecturer on augmentation procedures in implantology.
