First aiders at Stoma / Storz am Mark are fit for emergencies

In order to be prepared for emergencies, eleven participants were trained as company first aiders or refreshed their training.

On the premises of Stoma / Storz am Mark, seven of the company's own employees and four employees of the neighboring company HolzBau Bambusch reenacted various emergency situations using team role plays. This team-training allowed the participants to experience emergency situations from different perspectives such as affected persons, helpers and observers and thus to react even better to the current situation. The training covered not only accidents at work, but also on the road or at home.

Thomas Langwald, a long-time Johanniter instructor, guided the participants and passed on a lot of input. How does a heart attack occur? What happens during cardiac or circulatory arrest? How important is continuous cardiac massage and what are the chances of survival? What is the initial treatment of various injuries with wound or pressure dressings? How do I place a victim in the recovery position? What is the procedure during contact with the emergency call center? These questions were answered in theory or practice during this full-day but very entertaining course and all participants were able to receive their certificate at the end of the day.
