Dr. Berthold teaches the biological concept for hard and soft tissue augmentation

Both speaker Dr. Berthold and the participants were happy to be able to take part in a face-to-face course after many events had to be canceled, postponed or held online due to corona in recent months.

The atmosphere during the workshop and the exchange among each other were very good. During his practice-oriented lecture, Dr. Michael Berthold used many pictures and videos to show, among other things, autologous augmentation with basics and removal techniques and the bone shell technique with stoma® micro-screws, which already has been used very successfully for many years.

The speaker had chosen a very demanding case for the live operation, which he was able to complete successfully. The interaction between Dr. Berthold and the course participants should be highlighted, as he went into detail on specific questions and had an answer and suitable case studies for everything. During the hands-on part, the participants were able to practice the techniques shown on jaw models using the stoma® instruments provided and the stoma® micro-screws. Doctor Berthold also gave individual tips on handling. For this, the participants were willing to accept a spontaneous extension of the course duration of one and a half hours.

Dr. Michael Berthold is a specialist for oral surgery and has a Master of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery. He is also a research assistant at the University of Munich Hospital and sought-after speaker at national and international congresses.
