Participants extensively practice their dexterity in incision and suture techniques

Practical exercises determined the major part of the course with speaker Professor Kleinheinz. In the theoretical part, the basics of incision in oral surgery were explained very clearly.

In addition, the speaker used examples to illustrate possible suturing techniques and the characteristics of various sutures, as well as the effects on wound healing and aesthetics.

Using pig jaws as well as instruments and consumables provided by Stoma, the participants were allowed to train their dexterity and perform the cutting and suturing techniques shown before. Speaker Professor Kleinheinz supported the dentists and gave helpful tips during the hands-on workshop. All the participants gave a very positive feedback on the very large hands-on part and how the speaker and his assistant responded to the questions asked.

Speaker Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Johannes Kleinheinz has been Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Hospital Münster in Germany for five years.
