All stoma® medical devices and laboratory products must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized prior to each use; this also applies in particular to first-time use after delivery, since all stoma® medical devices are non-sterile on delivery. Effective cleaning and disinfection is an essential prerequisite for effective sterilization.
