2 live surgeries, practical exercises, surgical videos and clinical cases with Dr. Jochen Tunkel

To deepen their knowledge in the field of periodontal bone regeneration and the coverage of periodontal recessions - that was the goal of the participants of this workshop. Dr. Jochen Tunkel, as always very practical and relevant in his explanations, showed the small group in the Stoma Academy course current concepts of periodontal reconstruction. In the morning mainly in theory, in the afternoon in practice - including even two live surgeries and practical exercises on the animal specimen.

In the field of mucogingival and plastic periodontal surgery, the topics included the coronally or laterally advanced flap and the MPCAF (Multiple Pedicle Coronally Advanced Flap). The tunnel technique, connective tissue grafts and soft tissue substitutes were also discussed. In the practical exercises, the participants were able to practice guided tissue regeneration with papilla preservation flaps, as well as recession coverage with MPCAF. As always, Stoma provided the appropriate equipment such as instruments, sutures and blades.

The instrument sets recommended by Dr. Tunkel for oral surgery, periodontology, implantology, as well as soft tissue management and augmentation have been combined by Stoma and the specialist to form the Bad Oeynhausen concept. The aim of this instrument concept is to make it easier for users to equip their practice and thus also to achieve surgical success. More information can also be found at www.stoma-shop.com.
