Open house at Stoma / Storz am Mark: Far more than 500 guests celebrate company’s 100th anniversary

On the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary, Stoma opened its doors at the production site in Liptingen.

The third-generation family business provided insights into the various departments of the long-established company to the employees’ family members and friends, to business partners and all those interested from the local area.

During a 45-minute guided tour of the company's administrative, production and logistics facilities, visitors went through the individual work areas of the fully integrated company.

As a small/medium-sized company, Stoma / Storz am Mark ensures all steps from the production of the instruments through sales – represented by sales representatives at national and international level – to the in-house training academy, the Stoma Academy.

The Stoma Academy offers all dentists and prospective dentists the opportunity to educate themselves during the stoma® hands-on workshops, to acquire new techniques or to refresh their knowledge in various disciplines. In addition, it supports per year several hundred courses of selected partners with stoma® instruments and consumables such as stoma® sutures and scalpel blades.

After an introductory presentation on the history of the company, Stoma employees guided the more than 450 participants in several guided tours through the individual stations, where the employees gave a vivid and informative presentation of their department's processes.

At the end of the tour, visitors were able to view an exhibition of historical finds in brightly lit showcases showing documents and instruments from the company's 100-year history and beyond. The exhibition was complemented by finds from the in-house attic, for example, an old attendance clock by “Jauch und Schmid” from the 1920s to record working hours.

Despite constant rain and autumnal temperatures, more than 500 interested people came to the open house and used the entertainment offer such as the goal wall shooting and the photo box. In the pavilion the Musikverein Liptingen entertained the visitors, who enjoyed the delicious fresh grilled steaks and sausages.

The management, Tina Storz-Mazzeo and Martin Mazzeo, were grateful to the numerous helpers from the sports club Liptingen, who took over the entire catering: „We were immediately able to count on the support of the local clubs in our hometown, we are very grateful for that. Especially as we will donate the profit of the event the association for neighborly help in Emmingen-Liptingen.“
