Speaker Dr. Jochen Tunkel showed the dentists various treatment techniques by means of surgical videos and numerous clinical cases. Basic parts of the hands-on workshop, organized by the “Stoma Academy”, were the classification of the therapies into the periodontal treatment procedure and the resective periodontal surgery. In the theoretical part of the course he also showed classification, indication, techniques and results of the guided tissue regeneration and the coverage of periodontal recessions. In the large practical part, the participants were able to practice these techniques on the pig jaws with stoma® instruments, blades and sutures. Of course, under the guidance of the speaker, who had many practical tips for all participants.

Dr. Jochen Tunkel is a specialist in the fields of periodontics, implantology and oral surgery. He was a lecturer at the University of Muenster for many years and has been running his own practice in Bad Oeynhausen since 2007, together with his wife.
