In order to benefit from the fund of experience of longtime user Professor Sculean, participants from all over Germany came to the stoma hands-on workshop. In the dental practice “edelmund“ in Kaltenkirchen in Schleswig-Holstein the speaker taught "Innovative concepts for the predictable therapy of singular and multiple recessions on the tooth and implant". Speaker Prof. Dr. Dr. Anton Sculean, M.S. is Director of the Department of Periodontology at the University of Bern since 2008 and is a frequently asked specialist in this treatment concept.

In the theoretical part of the course the participants learned an overview of the different surgical techniques which are used in the plastic-esthetical periodontal surgery and therapy options that enable the achievement of predictable results. During the large practical part all participants could train the acquired techniques on pig jaws at large workplaces, under professional guidance of Professor Sculean. For this purpose the appropriate stoma instruments and sutures were used. Moreover Geistlich supported the workshop with biomaterials.

All participants – the “beginners” as well as the longtime users – evaluated both the theoretical part and the hands-on part as easy to understand and above all very practical. Please find further course dates for hands-on workshops in 2018 here on our website or on facebook.
