Two new apprentices in industrial business management, Lena Sensz and Jana Staudenraus, started their training at Stoma with a special highlight: the traditional trainee trip 2025. Together with the existing trainees and their trainers, they traveled by the Stoma bus to Reichenau Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The group enjoyed an exciting guided tour of the monastery and treasury, gaining fascinating insights into the island’s history. Did you know that Reichenau has three own island holidays – more than any other region in Germany? These holidays originate from the island’s history as an important medieval Benedictine abbey and a religious center.
The planned picnic outdoors had to be canceled due to strong winds. Instead, everyone enjoyed lunch with burgers and fries in a restaurant, followed by ice cream at a shop in Constance. Fun icebreaker games like bingo and “Who am I?” brought plenty of laughter and helped the new apprentices quickly become part of the team.
The highlight of the day was the Escape Room in Constance. Two teams competed simultaneously in the rooms “Da Vinci’s Secret” and “Nightmare.” The challenges were tricky: puzzles had to be solved, clues combined, and mechanisms unlocked. Only one team managed to escape within the given time – the other room proved to be particularly demanding.
The trip provided not only fun and variety but also strengthened team cohesion and allowed the new apprentices to connect with their colleagues in a playful way. A truly memorable day for everyone involved!
